Building practical skills for changing mineral value chains.
The pilot works with university and TVET partners to identify emerging skills requirements across circular-economy and energy transition mineral value chains. It connects technical curriculum development with trainer support and pathways for regional transfer.
The approach is designed to be practical, partner-led and attentive to gender inclusion and different institutional contexts across the region.
Relevant curricula, confident trainers, more inclusive learning pathways and reusable approaches that can strengthen energy transition mineral skills across participating institutions.
From skills needs to regional learning pathways.
Skills and curriculum scoping
Mapping priority capabilities and translating them into relevant curriculum areas and learning outcomes.
Training-of-trainers
Supporting educators with technical content, delivery methods and reusable teaching materials.
Gender-sensitive learning
Designing participation and learning approaches that address barriers and widen access to energy transition mineral skills.
Regional skills transfer
Testing how curricula, trainer learning and materials can be adapted and shared across partner institutions.
A partner-led cycle for applied learning.
Scope
Identify skills priorities, audiences and institutional needs.
Co-design
Develop curriculum components and trainer materials with partners.
Train and test
Run training-of-trainers and pilot selected learning activities.
Refine and transfer
Capture feedback, strengthen materials and support regional uptake.
